Frome Mayor and Local Jazz-Swing Star Join Forces for Fundraiser Night-Out Event

Purple Elephant is delighted to announce that Anita Collier, Frome’s Mayor, has spectacular plans to bring joy to January as she hosts her ‘Mayor’s Bash’ at the Assembly Rooms on 17 th January.

With everyone welcome and a free glass of fizz on arrival, local professional singer, Tom Carpenter, described by Rita Ora during his performance on ‘The Voice’ as “a great singer and a talented inspiration”, will be the star of the evening, treating guests to a Bublé, Dean Martin and Sinatra- influenced jazz-swing crooning set, as well as a ‘party’ set and a disco.

Mayor Anita Collier, who has chosen Purple Elephant as the recipient of the proceeds from this fun, fizzing night out, explains, “It is one of the privileges and joys of being Mayor that I can try to support local charities. Many of us in Frome already know of Purple Elephant’s work for families in the local area, and I am particularly pleased to be supporting them through this event because they work with children and young people which is my for focus for my year as Mayor. I hope you’ll join me!”
