About the Children’s Festival

This is our biggest and best event and where it all began! The Children’s Festival is a free community event offering around 40 different activities for children and families to enjoy. Usually held at the Cheese and Grain through to Welshmill Park in the summer, the event includes activities such as forest school, storytelling, arts and crafts, music, sports, magic, fun science, theatre, sensory tent and much more. To make sure that it is truly accessible we don’t have stalls selling things (other than food and drink) and we work hard to make sure that as many activities as possible are suitable for children with additional needs.

The Children’s Festival is a celebration of childhood and a wonderful community party!
