Purple Elephant values the support of local businesses and individuals to enable us to run our services. Through the generosity of our donors, sponsors, volunteers, and the kindness of our supporters and followers, we are able to provide vital support for local children and their families.

Here are just some of the ways individuals, groups and companies can ‘Get Involved’…

Fundraise for us: put on or join a Sponsored Activity

Maybe you’ve always wanted to Skydive? Could you arrange a Cake Sale or run a Half Marathon?
Perhaps use your skills to put on a Workshop, run a Jumble Sale or hold a Quiz Night.
We welcome groups or individuals fundraising for us, so if you have an idea, of any size, that you’d like to chat about, please get in touch.

Volunteer your time: a few days, even a few hours, or year-round

From 2-4 hours at The Children’s Festival to being a weekly, term-time Youth Club support worker, or from offering long-term Befriending skills to giving more ‘general’ help onsite at our family Holiday Activities – we need, and value, the hours you can give.
If you have enthusiasm and spare time, take a look at how you could join the joy at Purple Elephant.

Become a Partner Organisation

We enjoy the privilege of partnering with some excellent local organisations, such as Fair Frome and
Frome Town Council, who support many of our year-round services and events. If you are a VCSE or
similar organisation whose values and aims reflect ours, please get in touch. We would love to hear
from you, to see how we can work together.

Leave a Gift in your Will

Leaving a gift, or ‘charitable legacy’, in your will means you can be sure of a lasting impact and ongoing help for families facing challenge.  This way of giving means a designated portion of your estate is donated to Purple Elephant Family Support, upon your death. For full information and legal guidance please speak to a registered Solicitor.

Apply for a Job with us

We’re a small team so jobs don’t come up very often, but when they do we advertise in the local paper, on our website, via social media and through our partners and other local groups. Do keep an eye out and check back on our website regularly as when vacancies arise we need special, dedicated, skilled and kind people to apply.

Jobs & Volunteers

Donate £10, £20, £50 or £100 every month

Regular donations can make the biggest difference of all to any charity organisation. A monthly donation, of any size big or small, all year round, can be a lifeline, as it allows us to plan our services into the future with confidence and keep Purple Elephant going year after year. Do please consider making your donation in this way. Thank you.

Become one of our Business/Corporate Sponsor companies

There are many ways to be a valued Business/Corporate supporter. In addition to giving annual or regular financial support, companies can encourage their staff to take on a team challenge, send a team to support onsite at a Purple Elephant event, offer ‘payroll giving’ and allow staff to make full use of staff their ‘volunteer days’ allowance.
