Purple Elephant Family Support, founded in 2015, is looking for at least one additional Trustee to join its board this year.
The charity, respected for its range of services available to children of all ages, facing disadvantage, is looking for people to complement the makeup of the six current Trustees.
Submissions from locally-based people are sought – especially from those who have an existing understanding of, and experience in, either youth work or the challenges faced by young people, ideally with some knowledge of recruiting and supporting volunteers, plus a passion to support families in the area.
Whilst Purple Elephant works hard to put play and fun at the centre of its activities for families, the Trustee position requires an understanding of both the legal obligations and an ability to offer a guiding hand with its service plan delivery is vital.
Founder, and Service Manager, Sue Wills explains; “Our Trustees, who are usually required for a bi-monthly meeting, play a pivotal role in planning our ongoing annual provision. However, they also need a willingness to muck-in onsite and help at our fun events! We are looking for one or two special people and, because its Frome, we know they are out there.”
